IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
In about 5 weeks school will start back. The following information will help you prepare for the first days and weeks of school.

LUNCH INFORMATION
ORGS Online is the company BCS uses to process our lunch orders. All lunches are  ordered through the ORGS program. You can find more information on our web site under “Important Info”, then under “On line ordering.

The first week of school students will need to pack their lunches. On Monday August 30th  lunches will be catered in.* Monday is Chick-fil-A, *Tuesday is Dominos,* Wednesday is Arby’s, *Thursday is Chick-fil-A, and *Friday will be pizza again. Lunches are $3.50 each and must be ordered through ORGS. You can purchase other items a la carte such as Hot Pockets, PBJ’s, chips and ice-cream through ORGS also. You can also purchase these items in the lunch line with cash or check. Hot Pockets $1.00, PBJ $1.00, Chips .50, Ice cream .75. You can place your order starting August 20th.  Please feel free to call the school with any questions you may have.

MEDICATION
If your child needs to take medication while at school a  Permission to Administer Medication form must be filled out by the doctor that has prescribed the medication.  We cannot administer any kind of medicine without the signed form from the doctor. This policy also applies to over the counter medication. (i.e. Tylenol, Advil, etc.) Forms from last school year cannot be used for this school year.

BUS TRASPORTATION
In order for your student to ride a bus, the 2021-2022 Bus Agreement form has to be filled out and returned to the office.

BCS DRESS CODE
The school dress code will be followed before and after school hours for all school functions, events, and field trips. If dress code is not adhered to, parents will be contacted to bring appropriate clothing to school for the student. Please review the dress code with your child. This information can be found in your child’s planner.

STUDENT PARKING
Students who operate a private motor vehicle on the Bethany Community School Campus must submit a Student Driving Parking Permit Application. You can pick up the application in the school office. Parking permits are $25.00.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION CARDS: PLEASE RETURN TO THE SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
It is very important we have the new updated student information cards. If there is an emergency this is the only way we would be able to get in touch with parents. Please make sure you have turned your information card into the office.

Please make sure you have filled out the student information card and return it to the office as soon as possible. Even if you have filled out one in the past, you still need to fill out one for the 2021-2022 school year.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE
BCS does offer an After School Care Program during regular school days from dismissal time until 5:30. An application can be picked up in the office.

BUS DRIVERS NEEDED
We have multiple positions available for morning and afternoon routes. CDL Class B school bus driving license required. All BCS employees/volunteers will have to have a complete background check.  Call the office for more information.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED
BCS is expanding its substitute teacher pool. Substitute positions are frequently available in grades 6-12. All BCS employees and volunteers will have to have a complete background check. Call the office for more information.
